Jane - if you fly out of Cleveland, Continental goes direct nonstop for a very reasonable price (I think my husband and I together cost under $500 roundtrip). We're arriving Friday afternoon, leaving Sunday evening...

If I go, I'll be in on Thursday, out on Monday.

I say "if" since I'm making a big push for a house right now, so road trip money will have to go toward other stuff. It wasn't a real consideration back when I first committed, but there's a semi-decent shot right now (uncertain because of all the stupid 1099 crap I have to deal with). If the house is a go, KC likely isn't. If the house is a no-go, KC is on.

If they can pay your closing costs, they can swing a few hundred to get you to KC.

*pffft* At this rate, no one will talk to me because all my income is on 1099s instead of W-2s, but whatever. It'll all work out one way or another. Either a house this year and summit next year, or summit this year and house (and maybe also summit) next year).

I'm just trying to get a gauge on income/expenses because I have a restaurant reservation on hold.

If the NL Central wasn't so mediocre, I'd feel comfortable saying the Royals will have a better record than the Astros this year.

It's a nice stadium, albeit a little older. I saw a Royals-Rays game there back in 1999 or 2000 when both teams REALLY sucked, but that's okay because I got accosted by the Royals mascot.
