You really have to be careful and pay close attention to form or you are going to hurt yourself.

Deadlifts call for quite a lot of back work. Where does it ache? Is it a muscle ache or sharp pain? Is it lower back?

My back is sore after deads too... especially traps and rhomboids. But that's because they're a huge part of the lift.

I think I pulled a muscle yesterday doing deads. I didn't go really heavy, I had done the weight before. I just think I screwed up my form and pulled something in my lower back. Hurts like hell. It was a sharp pain yesterday, more of an ache today. Stupid pain. And I'm usually sore just regularly after deads.

my lower back always hurts after my hip dom day. its the very lower part, and it hurts to bend over for a couple days. i do seven sets total of SLDL and RDL, which are pretty demanding on your back, so i just figure its normal.
