Today was a good day in the gym, had the squat rack next to the huge windows and had the bright sun feeding me some energy and motivation. I begin my squat routine with energy and fierceness and I end it the same way. Sums up to the best squat day I ever had, moved the most weight ever in squat. As one of the main gym trainers walks over by me and sees my routine in my training journal laying out on the floor (currenty following ripped rugged and dense routine). I ask him if he has time to spot me on my last set, after doing so I ask him a question, MISTAKE! (back track to one month ago, I ask him what supplements hes taking, he takes me upstairs and offers me steroids, I refuse). Being dumb enough to actually ask this guy for more advice, I say, hey, what do you think about my routine, my goals are to cut fat percentage while keeping my muscle and gaining strength. He says..."you do know you can't turn fat into muscle right?" Slitely insulted I say, "uh, yeah." He looks at the routine some more, shakes his head, "yeah ya know I am just not a big fan of working body parts more than once a week, its overtraining", I reply, "yeah...well thanks for your time", he walks off to conversate with the "regulars". The obvious part about this is he considers working a bodypart more than once a week inaccurate, which in itself is not accurate. The SCARY part about this is the routine is a one body part a week routine, how could he not see that, I don't know why I am suprised this is the same "trainer" who told me if I get creatine I have to get cell tech or i am just wasting my money...talk about learning not to ask any more questions, and welcome to Gold's Gym.

Kevin- I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, and at the same time learning from these boards, I figured at almost $300/mo, he should know his stuff...I was wrong.
DKing- I believe there are maybe 1 or 2 trainers that know what they are doing out of like 10, I also think many of them there are contracted and work at other gyms as well,,,but I will tell you, I wont be hiring any of them again, thats for sure. Do you ever tell the trainers that work next to you that they suck?
Oh and by the way, my trainer told me not to do squats, as they will "blow me up" those were his exact words...
There is one dude at the Gold's I go to that seems to be pretty cool. I go to the smallest gold's in my city because I like the smaller more down home type atmosphere. Sorry didn't mean to pick on Gold's gym even though I did, I take it back! The head guy here is pretty awesome, he's a power lifter from the old school days, smart dude. And "BEEEEEG".
Raymond: the trainer that spotted me told me squats would make me wider becaues its compressing my body, im dead serious...
Thats pretty much what he told me, thats why I stayed away from them for so long,,my legs, hips, and ass are already bigger than I like, so I didnt do them until I learned on here, that it could actually make that area smaller.
You should tell them they suck, you are alot more experienced than most of them (I know because you gave me some info)...even being new, they could learn from you, and if they dont want to, then they suck for real, and will end ripping people off.
