He has a chin-up program in this month's Men's Health.

Yep, I read the chin up article, but it seems really targeted at people who can't do more than 10 (well, that's me lol but still). Still, its pretty good and I'll try to it to improve my chin up performance, instead of focusing so damn much on pulldowns (too many of us are guilty of this including myself).

Is the chin-up program available online or do you have to get the magazine?

I don't think the chin up program is available online (at least I couldn't find it). But while I was searching through the net for it, I ran into one of Cosgrove's articles and one of the lines from it, kind of hit me:

"There is no perfect routine. The fact that your favorite author just published a new workout that is "exactly what I've been waiting for!" just shows us that you have no long term plan for any type of success and are unlikely to make any progress."

There's irony hidden in that quote.

Really? I've only met him once, but he was VERY funny ... and clearly doesn't take himself too seriously. Refreshing really.

Alwyn has been on vacation. They've been doing a big renovation of their gym, bringing in a host of people to train their staff, implementing some new tools and methodologies for their clients, as well as working on some other projects.

Alwyn is hysterical. He's a great speaker if you ever have a chance to see him in a seminar. He's a real no bullshit kind of guy and I like that.

i thought JP was cool about there being no censorship on this board? The topic posted wasn't really out of line with the question asked.

While some may think it is "stirring the pot" it's something that a lot of people don't know about, and honestly it should be brought to their attention, for them to make up their minds about it for themselves.

just my 2 cents. it really doesn't upset me either way since in know what happened, have my own opinion on it, and it wasn't my post. I just think censorship shouldn't be done unless for trolls and spammers.

But can't he simply say "Alwyn got busted for plagiarism" without any asinine op-ed commentary?

I don't think he was moderated for what he said. I think he was moderated for how he said it. You cannot convince me that how he phrased it was not indignant and inflammatory.

Now, it's too soon to forgive Alwyn for what he did, but understand the difference between forgiving and forgetting and let the former occur when it will and always remember what happened.

OG, seriously. Kindergarten? Please. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if they align with the hosts request that we not fan the hate flame then great. If not, it's going to be moderated. It's REALLY simple.

There are many ways Manuel (or anyone for that matter) could have handled this situation from the beginning that wouldn't have been moderated.

There's no problem linking to the thread and reading up on that topic. But it is my impression that the offending post did more than that. And there's nooo desire from the mod group for that topic to be re-ignited.

RW - Seriously.

Everyone can read this but remember keep your opinions to yourself (which is basically what "Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if they align with the hosts request that we not fan the hate flame then great" means).

isn't this basically censorship, which is what i thought this forum was against?

if not, tell me why.
