Do you mean lower back pain?

Do you have any previous back trouble?

If the answers are "yes", and "no", respectively, then I'm going to bet that your form is off.

Are you keeping your back straight throughout? Keeping your shoulder blades together? If you let your head droop, or relax your upper back, then your lower back is going to take the stress.

Also, is it possible that you are using too much weight? Form is always more important and effective than a heavier weight.

Actually I'm not really crazy about that woman's form either. She was showing off a little and didn't nail it.

I thought ExRx would maybe do a better job, but this guy has his back a little rounded:



This chubby bodybuilder actually does halfway decent form:
