Im on the bill star 5x5 program, just started.
im just wondering if i do cardio on my rest days, if that will interfere with the whole rest thing and mess up the program?
cardio i do is jogging, bisycling and sometimes skiing.
i just dont want it to interfere too much with my muscles resting and recovering from the workout i have had the day before and therefor have a negative effect on the workout i will have tomorrow.

I don't know the exact program? What are your goals with it?

Doing cardio on days you dont lift is fine with this program. As long as it doesnt intefer with recovery that is. To make sure recovery doesnt become an issue with added cardio, make sure you are eating enough calories on cardio days.

Personally, I do cardio 2-3x a week on days I dont lift. I have been able to progress and recovery very well using this program and doing that amount of cardio.

If you find the cardio hindering your progression, then cut back on it.
