WHAT???? No radio???
My initial impressions: The spots are VERY well done. Good energy, good looking people (even the spokesperson), upbeat, airy and light. I like your enegy too ("WOW!")...you have a boatload of it, but it's not always easy to convey that. The people look healthy and look like they are enjoying themselves, which is important with a visual message. Your producer did a REALLY nice job on these, JP...
OG, yes you did. I have shot my first few shows already. The debut is Nov 9th. Its local, but I will have a lot of clips and support to the show on a new page that is not up yet (www.jpfitness.com/tv). The name of the show is "Healthy Living with JP". It is basically a health/fitness variety show. I'll feature workout tips/plans, healthy recipes, interviews with special guests / experts in many different related fields / movivation and/or success stories. I'll also review local restaurants that have healthy menus, or even teach busy people who have to occassionally pull into a fast food joint what they can order to not shoot their diets. One unique thing about the show is that I am going to get out and try a bunch of different sports/recreation, even if I am not familiar with it. I want viewers to see that they can try anything they want, and it is okay if they aren't good at it the first time, but they might try something new and discover an activity that they really enjoy that keeps them active. My first show will have an interview with our governor. I segued to the interview by going for a morning run with him. He has lost 110 pounds in the last year, and he is doing a lot to try to get Arkansas healthier as well. If you are in LR and reading this, I hope you check it out. It will be on 98 (Comcast's channel for all their local shows, like "taste of the town", and "the Wally Hall show"), Tuesday nights at 7pm, and repeating Thursday morning at 7am. Sorry for the little commercial, but you asked.
HOLY COW......... If I got to work out in the same place as those women, I would be a happy man. Great place you have there, maybe our rec center will be something like that when the remodeling gets done in January. Anyway, awesome commercials, it made me want to join.

That sounds great, JP. Best of luck with it. I'll definitely check out the clips when up, and order the "Healthy Living with JP Season 1" DVD when it's out.

We do have some hotties in LR. All the girls in the commercial are actually members at my fitness center, but they don't generally all work out at once. Kaiser, that girl was my fave too. She looks like a prettier version of Elizabeth Hurly. It can be distracting up here sometimes.

Yeah, but JP, it is just pure evil that you have a shot of her working the lying hamstring curl machine. I can't believe that made it past the censors!

Why is JP in his office with the door closed? (And isn't that one-way glass in the wall???)
Like others have said: very energetic, tight and to the point.
The scenery (catching the view out of the window, the equipment and yes, the incredibly hot women) is very inviting. I like that the camera work and editing are dynamic. So often in smaller-budget commercials, the camera either sits still, or the pacing is off in the editing. Whoever did the work did a very good job for you.
I also favor the third one, mainly because it is a closeup of your face. People relate to faces, and you can see yours better there. The waist-up shot is usually a no-no in most tv shows and movies. The reason? It leaves the person looking like a cut-off doll floating in space, especially when they have nothing specific to do with their hands. It's also in direct contrast to the moving shots of your gym. Contrast is sometimes good, but you don't want to appear to be the one static part of the gym. Unless you're a boobalicious woman, then there's no need to see your torso.
It would have been hilarious if at the end of one of those clips you pointed at the camera and said, "And TS, would you please stop talking about the Liberal Circle Jerk Club"
So I'm watching the JP Fitness Commercials and this guy is rambling on about something while I'm staring with mouth agape at these hot chicks. Who was that guy anyway? Hmmph. Very distracting.
Well, done JP! Oh, and perhaps an idea for the next round of commercials...THONGS!

Bill
Trust me, Bill... You DON'T want to see ME in a thong!
Commercial 1: Youre too far away, unless you want to show your ripped abs from Adam's diet, get closer I think its too cluttered at the beginning with explaining where it is. This was my least favorite one.
Commercial 2: this one was better, less of you and more of the place. This is a good thing because youre selling your gym. The scenes with you are good in this one because its too the point, a little closer and youre smiling more. The phone number is very prevelant in this one as opposed to the first which is good. This one had by far the most ass out of all of them, the camera guy was definately having fun.
"What makes us different, most of all we love our work." For some reason this sentence bothers me in this clip.
Commercial 3:
Excellent closeup but youre not smiling. Its pretty salesman-ish when you start talking about intro rates. Id talk about it if its low or if theres a special. It has really good frames of your place, I feel like I got the best sense of what your place looks like in this one. This is probably one I would use as an intro commercial, commercial two is a followup commercial (one that you see after youve been bombarded by the first one and know what JP fitness is) because the language seems to convey a prior knowledge.
Other comments:
1) you have some crazy hotties working out over there. My favorite was the bunny in the teal shorts and white tank. I noticed the girl in the pink pants but blonde had a rack that you just could not ignore when doing a shoulder press
2) Your place is really clean, I dont think I could lift there because Id be afraid of sweating on the floor or using chalk. Plus I didnt see a GHR, RH, or monolift
3) You sound the way your picture suggests, although it would have been funny if you had a frenchy accent.
I hope this helps. Good commercials, honest feedback.

Your comments were more on than you realize. The one that you said should have been first was the first one I released. It ran for 3 weeks before I put the other two into circulation. It is my introduction/call to action commercial.
The first one was actually the second one I released... It was my facility and staff ad. The final one (second in the sequence on my site) was my personal training ad. I have a new one that has been out for the last couple weeks that I will try to get up next week. Based on local feedback I reshot some new footage with some more "normal" looking people, and mixed it with the models footage.
Regarding the "we love our work" line... In most local gyms all the employees are apothetic gym rats who could care less about whether or not members come and go, and it is a real downer. In my place, we really are all passionate about fitness, and even the guy you meet at the front door loves his job, greets everyone by name with a smile, and makes them feel welcome. Hard to convey that with all the other info you try to squeeze into a 30 second commercial.
Kaiser: One who LOVES women (esp. the female form).
Perhaps sexist would have been a better word choice, but I mean, come on! It's a webforum and we all knew what he meant... Kaiser is a women hater

I've been trying to figure out who you reminded me of when I heard your voice in those TV spots for the first time. I have been thinking about it over the past day or so, and it just finally dawned on me a few minutes ago. I think you sound like Jared, the Subway guy.
