Okay, let me start by saying I am 5'9", 178lbs, and have somewhat of a short reach. I am having a hard time with my hack squat and can't seem to work it out. When I go lighter (135lbs), I don't seem to have this problem, but when I go heavy (175+), I find the bar hits the back of my legs where they meet my ass. Unless I really push my hips out hard prior to them making contact with my butt, the bar sometimes get hung up on my butt and throws me off. I know this sounds funny, but I swear this is holding me back. I also hate to go lighter just because of my problem. any ideas other than getting my arms stretched?
