Question

Anyone had experience with these?

One of the problems I've found in Australia is finding an affordable powerrack. Just to horrify a few people I'll mention that at the moment my squats are done off the back of a bench press station (it has racks behind it to hold the bar) and using some sawhorses as the safety racks . Obviously I'm not that keen to push my limits not to mention the station is only rated to 250 lbs (which I'm only a few weeks off hitting). It does however come with a lat pulldown attachment that my GF uses (she cant do pullups yet).

So one of the first thing I want to do is replace that station with a decent powerrack. Unfortunatly when I was putting my home gym together I couldnt find anything under $1k AU (about $750 US) in Australia and it was just a bit pricy. Did a search today after seeing newlifes gym and found these from an ebay store:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....tem=7204520684

Now the first one looks great. Decent looking rack and not only has a lat pulldown attachment, but has both low and high cable attachments, something that could be really handy. Problem is if you read down further, its only rated to 350 lbs. Now thats a lot more than I'm lifting now, but its double bodyweight for me which is an aim of mine, and long term I might want to go heavier (hopefully anyway ). Second one is rated to 700 lbs so should be fine forever.

Also found this one:

Dont see a weight rating on that, but it looks even more solid and comes with pullup bar and dip attachment, however I already have a pullup/dip station so no need for them.

I guess I'm just asking if anyones had experience with them, if those weight ratings are something you should pay close attention to, or should I hold out longer for something thats got what I want and I can afford it at the time .
