the program i use is one ive made up myself with a basic split.
mon - back/bi's
weds - shoulders/tri's
fri - chest/bi's (only for the moment cos theyre lagging)
sat - legs (havent for 2 months because ive had tendonitis)

i focus mainly on my compound movements ie bench press (flat, inc, dec), pressing movements, pull ups (diff grips), rowing (diff angles) etc then add 1 or 2 isolation movements (laterals, flyes etc).
usually do 4 or 5 sets with 8 reps, throw in some shocking techniques like static holds, drop sets etc and your set.
from the videos of the pros i have seen (coleman, cutler, priest) theyre workouts are simple with the utmost effort which is what i try to emulate. its worked for me. Ive gained about 4kgs in weight in 6 months but have dropped a bucket load of bodyfat. Definition, striations and vascularity have all increased dramatically.
As for my diet, no rocket science here.
Eating 6 or 7 times daily with things such as oats, tuna, LOTS of chicken, rice and vegetables, protein shakes, cottage cheese, mainly egg whites with a yolk every now and then, some nuts and natty PB too. some lean beef every now and then.
This is what I pretty much eat every day. My friends and family think im crazy but the results speak for themselves. Neway, food is just energy
Any questions, just ask

I wouldn't try to emulate the routines of a Coleman or a Cutler if I were you. Unless you have access to the pharmacy that has a revolving door on their asses, you won't be able to sustain a program like that for long without injury. I only say this as an older person who has the injuries to show for training like that in my youth. Its not realistic or sustainable.

Frankly, they don't actually even do the routines they post in the magazines anyway. They post those to make people feel insignificant and weak. Part of the marketing ploy of the bodybuilding industry.

Booze, you may be making progress from sheer force of will and discipline, but that doesn't mean its the optimal routine. In fact, I would go as far as to say that your split is a few years behind the times. You should take the time to read as much as you can of Alwyn Cosgrove, Bill Hartman, Craig Ballyntine, Chad Waterbury, etc. I wish they had been available resources to me when I was a young trainer. I would have trained much smarter and had much less injuries to show for all my time in the gym.

I concurr with JP on this one. In my younger days as a"Trainer/Salesman" for a gym I got ripped only from shear volume of training...2-3hrs a day 5 days a week on top of all the sports I played. If you read and follow the principles and programs of the Trainers JP mentioned you'll get great results in less time and above all else with less injury.
