Default Blood Test

I am going to get some blood work done very soon. I was wondering what things I should get checked. I am going to get these done:

Test, total and free
HDL
LDL
Triglycerides
IGF-1
PSA
Thyriod Profile
Estradiol

Is there anything else I should get done at the same time. I want to avoid trips back to the doctor.

If it matters I am 34 years old.

Thanks for your help.

A screening glucose could be valuable perhaps. Do you have any symptoms that you are trying to sort out?

I highly recommend taking a day or two off from working out before your test. I failed to do so and came back with a few days worth of stress over some bad results that returned to normal with the next test when I took off gym time two days prior.

Interesting enough... I'm looking at my husbands blood work. I'm about to pay the bill!!

Here is what he had tested:

VAP cholesterole profile
cbc w/ differential platelet
comp. metabolic panel
urinalysis,
thyroid panel with tsh
amylase, serum
lipase, serum
venipuncture

Don't know what the heck all that is... My hubby is 37, his family has a history of high cholesterol and heart disease.

Completely depends on what you're looking for.

If you just want a simple blood panel to assess hormones, you've got the basics covered.
