Hey everyone I'm new to this forum and I am most likely going to begin a new training regimen tomorrow. I have been lifting for the past 2 months pretty consistently but haven't really had much idea what i've been doing.

I'm 18 years old, 6 feet tall, and 165lbs.

I am looking to get bigger and cut also. I'm pretty thing right now and i have slightly visible abs--emphasis on slightly.

I asked around for a new program because i have been stagnant the past few week, not improving much at all. Would the following 8 day program produce ideal results for me?

Day 1- Chest/Triceps
Day 2- rest
Day 3- Legs
Day 4- rest
Day 5- Back/Biceps
Day 6- rest
Day 7- shoulders
Day 8- rest

REPEAT CYCLE

Is having this 8 day program and only exercising each muscle group once every 8 days a good idea? Or should I condense the workouts and workout each muscle group more. Is it ideal to work out muscle groups every 8 days? 6 days? 3 days?

I would add some ab work in there, proberbly with your shoulders as that should be a short workout.

You need to eat big in order to get big.

There is a program called scrawny to brawny (has its own forum here) and has outlined diet and program for ppl in your shoes.

Generally just have a bit of a poke around here and the nutrition forum and you'll find lots of good info on bulking.

I wouldn't be trying to do more then an body part once a week. Other ppl may disagree though.

If you want a great 8 day program look up Chad Waterbury's Anti-Body Building Hypertrophy 1 and 2(aka ABBH 1, 2) here or over at T-nation.

It works body parts twice over the 8 day period.
