Default 7 Ton Deadlift

Well, not really.

This morning, I tried something different.
110 deadlifts at 135 pounds.

9 sets of 10
and
1 set of 20
with 45 seconds between sets.

Total = 110 x 135 or 14,850 lbs. total volume or 7 tons.

I think there is something wrong with me.

You're just hoping the DOMS get you out of this weekends "honey-do" list.

You're a sick man.

if you keep lifting like that you're going to die sooner.

I've done that with 10 push-ups between deadlift sets and shortest possible rests when I was in my CrossFit phase. It's a real cardiovascular treat. I found it on a Navy SEAL workout site. You have to be one sick bastard to think that up on your own.

Two more reps and you would've had 15,000lbs. Wuss.

I hurt my back earlier in the week. It was feeling better, but did not want to chance my planned routine of 30 x 320, so I decided to go for volume over intensity.

I planned 10 x 10, but only realized on the last set that it would be short of 14,000. So I did 20. Now you break my balloon and tell me I should have done 22.

Spent the weekend in Philadelphia, walking all over the place. No problems. Met Tom (stingo) for dinner and a concert. Great guy.
