Default Beginner Seeking Workout Help

Hello everyone,

I was hoping I could get some help from anyone and everyone willing to give it.

I am looking for a workout that will burn body fat and at the same time build muscle.

I'm hoping to have it running/calisthenics oriented, meaning no weights (except for a pull-up bar).

Any additional advice for recommended diet would be great also if it is needed.

Also, if you need any other information (height, weight, etc.) let me know and I'll provide it.

My stats are:

Male
Weight: 135 - 140
Height: 5'6"

My main goal, besides that stated above (burning fat and gaining muscle) is to get super lean and in shape. And by in shape I do not just mean looking good either, I mean being able to perform as well.

Thank you!

Hi Sully

Welcome to the boards - have a look at the FAQs, there are a lot of good programs there. I have always been partial to HGM.

Anyway, since you are a beginner you will see fat loss and muslce gain from ANY decent full body program. Pick one stick with it and you will do fine. At your height and weight I guess you are "skinny-fat" (a thin guy with a gut).

Abs are made in the kitchen and eating properly is probably the most important thing you can do.

Full body workout - eat clean.

Good luck and welcome to the boards!!!

Yeah I would stick to the routine said in the above post. Are you keeping a log or anything?
