Changing direction
Yes, if you look at the other forums I have posted the same thing. Just looking for ideas.
I am burned out. So I am going to go the way of Crossfit or PM. I think it will be good and keep me motivated.
So I wanted to reach out and get ideas from some of you as to how you do your Xfit workouts. Just WOD, Black Box, Strictly PM or what?
Thanks and I hope all of you are doing well here!

I always just did the WOD unless I was trying to increase a specific lift. Then I would work in some extra training on a Max Effort day. Cross Fit is fun, in my sick opinion, enjoy.

It has been several weeks since I have switched routines. Give me some credit.
And I came up with a goal all my own, Bill. I am going to have to start out doing the WODs scaled. So the goal is to work up to doing them as Rx'd.

I thought you were doing Power Training. What happened with that?

I spent a couple months doing it. But due to a shoulder injury, a sick wife for a couple weeks and travel I missed a good deal of time in the gym. During that time I lost some motivation to get back to it full time. Mostly I have burned out. I have done traditional set/reps liftng for 6 years. I need something new and fresh. I can't afford a new Jeep and my wife wouldn't be happy with me having an affair so the next best thing to this crisis is a new direction in the gym.

Perhaps also pick something from the odd exercises I've just posted the other day?
Doing crazy stuff is nice, but it's good to keep the bare basics in. Changing rep ranges is often enough to make things more interesting.

I am doing ther Xfit stuff every other day. The in between days are ME power lifting days. So it is a good mix of both.
And yes, Mahler. You don't have to be an old fart to get burned out.
