I am currently doing Turbulence traing for fat loss.I am an avid basketball player and will be trying out for a spot on my college team next season.

I was wondering if I can implement sprints and agilities into the TT program. Right now I have basketball full court 5 on 5 for 2 hours on sunday and wednesday. So I figured it would be best to do these on monday and thursday (6 full court sprints, rest, 16 half court sprints, rest, a suicide, rest, then aglities (ladder drills))

Does this sound alright and on the other days I will just do the normal 6 or 8 intervals on the bike. O and BTW I lift on M W F and take saturday off, if that matters.

thanks in advance,
Kevin

Kev,

I would suggest e-mailing Craig directly.

Ditto on emailing Craig.

I suspect you should either:

Forget the regular intervals on TT days, since you're getting in so much cardio, OR

Do your sprints on TT days instead of the usual intervals (that's essentially what I do). You can do agility stuff to warm up for TT perhaps.

I do not know the details of TT - if you want to play college hoops shouldn't you make that the emphasis of your training instead of fitting in some Basketball specific work around TT?

That being said and considering what you are doing, always try to get your agility work in first - 3-5 days a week.
