I just finished the Maximum Muscle Phase with great results in size and strength, and I'm ready to start the Full-Scale Fat Loss Phase. My question is, should I take a week off prior to starting the Fat Loss Phase, or continue on? I haven't noticed in decreases in my volume of lifting nor lingering soreness, but it has been almost nine weeks since I took a week off, and I want to make sure I don't overtrain. Thanks for the replies.

Also, I intend to put some recent pictures of myself to show my progress. I highly recommend the Muscle Prescription. Since I started the program my weight has went from 178 to 195. Also my strength has greatly increased in all major lifts.

Hmmmm? You only gained 17 pounds during the Max Muscle Phase?

I'm kidding...that's terrific!

Nothing makes me feel better than to see folks do well with the program.

Now to your question.

There's really no problem taking a week between the end of the Max Muscle and Full-scale Fat Loss phases (especially after 9 weeks of consistent training). Don't be totally passive on your time off. Play your favorite sport or get in some light activity every couple of days. It will help with prep for the next phase.
