I am going to post this here and in the injury forum. I thought I might get more replies here.
A little background for those who don't know. I have been in multiple car wrecks that have left me with 5 hernaited disc in my back and neck and also a pinched nerve in the ball of my neck. I also have tendonitis in my left shoulder. I have done HGM and some of the greatest workout ever. I didn't really look forward to coming home to workout like I did with HGM so instead of doing GWOE I switched to Ripped Rugged and Dense 2.0 which I really like. Here is the thing I will have a really strong couple of workouts, set new personal best but then a couple of workouts later I will tweak something in my back and will not be able to workout (or do much of anything else for that matter) for like two weeks. So it seems like everytime I hit a new personal best the following workout or the one after I end up hurting my self. Does anybody have any suggestions to overcome this? It is making me gun shy if you know what I mean. Like in the back of my mind I am thinking if I deadlift 315 (for 5 reps) today what happens when I do 320 next workout an I going to throw my back out? It just seems like I take two steps forward then hurt myself and have to take three steps back. I am thinking maybe I should go back to physical therapy or something. I have already gone for 6 months and it really didn't help any not even my range of motion that I could tell. Please help me if you can I am getting a little discouraged. Thanks guys.
