Unhappy

Well, I'm back here after a long absence. I've been sticking to the RR&D and it's been getting some good results. I've been away for a while now because I had to reformat my computer and it was a lot of work to get everything back to the way I like it. So hey everyone!

The other reason I am posting is because about a month ago when I was doing dead lifts I twisted a little bit and hurt my lower back/glute(sp?)/hamstring(I think) area and it was difficult for me to bend at the waist, or stand up straight. I have recovered quite a bit, and have substituted free motion cable machines for the dead lift exersise, but machine squats or regular squats still cause a familiar twinge of pain in the first couple of reps, so I have been laying off them for a while. Are there any substitute exersises for what squats work that aren't so strenuous?

Also, I'm not losing the fat as I would like. My muscle and strength is increasing, but the fat on my body is remaining the same for the most part and I've been at it about two months now. I've lost some weight, but not my desired goal. Are there any other programs I can follow to really cut the fat?

Thanks guys!

To really cut the fat I would suggest Craig Ballantyne's Turbulence Training (www.turbulencetraining.com). In the month of April I lost 5 lbs and 1% body fat. I also followed Adam's Diet for the last 2 weeks of April and am still following it. You can see my progress photos here. Or you can check out my training logs through the links in my signature. There are also a ton of other people that use TT in the training logs section so I would check those out too.

When you first started mentioning and injury, I would have let it heal fully before getting back into lifting. I would presonally go see a doctor about the pain your experiencing before you continue training.

Good luck with your training.
