Default MH Power Training Anyone?

Hey guys I've been lurking around for awhile but I figured I might as well introduce myself...so...

My name is Scott I'm currently attending James Madison University in my freshman year. Been lifting for awhile but nothing serious only my own custom routines so as you can guess they weren't good...hah but thats a different story...

So anyway I ordered Coach Dos's book the other day and was just wondering if anyone else on these boards is currently doing this program and might be able to answer some questions about the routines and what not once I start up in a couple weeks.

thanks guys...

Look for a guy named "Rookie"

He loves it, and you could PM him.

I've heard good things about it.

Currently in week 5 of the 4 day push/pull Total Fitness program. Its a great book and has a damn good foundation that you can take with you into future programming. The workouts are tough and the menu choices are limitless you never have to do the same workout.

I have the book and have adapted some of the material into the programming for my athletes. I was already using a similar style of menu programming, but Dos' book helped me tweak a few things. You can visit his website--he has his own forum where he personally can answer any questions that you have.

I've been doing this program since the new year and have been loving it. All workouts are in my log. The link is in my signature. Like others have said, Dos has his own forum where he'll answers any questions you may have.

I'm about 7 weeks into it - also doing the the 4 day push/pull Total Fitness program. It's a great program because there is so much variety. He also has a bunch of cool barbell and dumbbell complexes and some "cardio weight training" routines that are fun, but will really kick your butt.

The hard part about it is the explosive lifts. I've never done anything like this before, and I have not been able to find anybody in my area to give me some instruction. I'm trying to pay very close attention to form/technique while using lighter weights than I probably need to.

You have awesome facilities down there... I've seen some pretty impressive pictures. Also your strength and conditioning department has a good web page with a lot of information.

Awesome, can't wait to start the program. Great to know there's some people here that have some experience with it. Thanks Kuri for the link I definately will be checking that out.

thanks guys

ps. recognize a couple of you from the MH forums. I know theres a thread about power training over there but seems like everything is kinda slowing down over on those boards since alot of people left...

Did any of you guys buy the spreadsheets that coach dos is selling on his site?

I've heard good things about them but not sure...

If you did, did you buy the single, 3, 6 card?

I agree with everything said here. I love the workouts. I look forward to my power training workout every training day. When I get home I'm like "Oh, yeah! It's power training time!"

I haven't bought the cards, but one of the posters over on the MH forum has and he was very enthusiastic about them.
