Default Weak Pushes - OK Pulls

Hi,
I have a basic question.
I started lifting 2 month ago and have worked NROL through Fat Loss 1.
Squats(3*10*145) and Deads(3*10*165) seem to be progressing nicely.
Pull downs(3*10*112.5) are OK as well.
But any pushes; DB Push press, DB bench press etc are very weak.
I can only push press 3*10*27.5(e) and incline bench 3*10*35lb(e).
I tried incline benching with 40lb db last night and couldn't get them over my head.

Is this unusual?
Might I have an imbalance?
Should I stop whining and lift???

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Number wise I don't think that sounds like an imbalance

But you can do 10 reps with 35lbs, but can't get 40 even once? That seems a little off to me.

You don't sound to off to me. You should be pulling the same amount you are pushing. Besides, you are comparing a vertical pull with a horizontal push. If anything, you are only pulling 112 I would say your imbalance is in the other direction. If you can easily weild 35's you ought to be pulling more like 140 - 150 range IMHO.

Thanks again.

This is a whole new world to me as I was a runner/swimmer for many years and a couch potato for the last 5 years .
