I say to find/use an old wheelbarrow (or buy a cheap, metal one) and take off all the handles and wheels. Put a couple of eyebolts through the front to attach a rope or straps, toss stuff in the back, and go.
Tires are a pain. They fill up with water that you can never get out, they leave black crap everywhere, rip up the grass, you have to put small heavy things in them (like plates), and you can't give people rides in them.
Wheelbarrows are easy to dry out, cleaner, they don't tear up the grass, and you can put anything you find in them for weight (like sandbags, kids, pets, rocks, weights, etc.).
