Suggestions for next program - WS4SG or NROL
Hey all, I am just 4 workouts away from completing my first ever weight training program... S2B. At 38 years of age, I am pretty proud of not missing one single workout, forcing myself to figure out a ton of info (thank you JP Fitness folk and YouTube) and digging into my diet and making some huge changes.
I am pretty stoked on the results - I set out with a BHAG (big hairy audacious goal) of gaining 15 lbs: I added 18 lbs in 16 weeks. I did it! In the process, I have become completely hooked on training and eatting right... my energy level is amazing, I sleep like a baby, and I have started organizing my time better. The discipline weight training takes is a skill that has seeped into my entire daily life, so great!
Anyway, I am taking next week off, but want to start planning for my next program... I have read NROL recently, and been referred to Westside for Skinny Guys. NROL appeals to me more at this point because it is more structured (seems like WS has alot of pick and choose) and being relatively new to weight training I think I need the structure.
Anyone have any thoughts to share on these programs?
N.B. I am still a raging ectomorph (6'6" and 191 lbs) - and eat an average of 3600 calories a day, heavy on the protein. I want to gain size overall, but craving to build some of the showy muscles too (blush)... I am very deliberate and will follow a program to the t and am considering seeing a nutritionist as well.
