That's gotta be somewhere around 60-odd reps in one set ... that's nuts!

well, a 20 rep squat set usually takes 2-3 minutes depending on the conditioning and weight. I would guess it's somewhere around 50-60 reps.

I did that workout once.. but then i forgot to drink my surge and ate mushrooms on my sandwhich later that night so i ended up actually getting smaller legs..
That looks really really tough. I cant imagine more then about 30 seconds of squats at one time, let alone 3 minutes. Ive heard tom platz did timed sets with only 225lbs. Interesting if your a bodybuilding with lagging bodyparts i suppose and want to try something new.

For crying out loud guys. These guys are juicing and big time. They are talking body building and its pretty much a given in that field these days. Please don't give me the bullshit that this is a viable workout for the average lifter.

Shouldn't be to bad John all you have to take is
500mg of Testosterone Ethanate (broken up into 2 injections per week of course)
250mg of Equipoise 1 shot a week should do.(wouldn't want your muscles to outgrow your tendon needs now would you!)
50mg of Dianobol daily (tablet form of course wouldn't want to forget strength needs.
That leg work would be easy peasy one two threasy!
Oh yeah and I forgot you need
1. Biotests Super food
2. Biotests BCAA's
3. Biotests Creatine
4. Biotests etc etc etc....
you get the picture!

Where do I sign up. My legs are waiting. I did a measly 10 x 3 x 255 this morning. I feel frigging weak.

This is nothing new. Russians have been using timed sets for years, particularly in kettlebell sport. Just one more way to apply the overload principle.
I've been using timed sets for awhile now and have seen some good results. It's a great ass kicker too.
Steve Cotter is working on doing 200 pistol squats in 10 minutes. He's now up to 120 in 8 minutes. Easy right?

I know it's nothing new, but please don't ask me to believe that this is not done in conjuction with a little added "boost" in most cases. To each his own.

I am a hater, but the only thing I really hate is bullshit, and that article has a healthy measure of it, just starting with the pictures. I guess I am the perennial skeptic.
Ooops! Here is me as the hater.

Sarge, Jesse Marunde's training partner, squatted his bodyweight (218) 98 times
and, i believe there's a video to prove it.

In all fairness, the X-fitters do shit like this. In all criticism, they arent that big
Seems like EDT-style stuff where youre just trying to do what you can for time.
I would never do anything like that article though.

I was thinking the same thing. EDT without all that bothersome thinking or planning, combined of course with gobs-o-juice, which probably explains why x-fitters aren't all that big.
