The Maltese push up

That would hit the anterior delts and pecs. You'd get more lat recruitment if your hands weren't fixed, like actually doing a maltese on rings.

While that is true, a maltese on rings is extremely hard, and this is a progression exercise that many gymnasts use to help build to a maltese
