you shouldnt have mentioned it because its a piece of bollocks said by Louie years ago that 1) he doesnt do and 2) makes no sense, as has already been put up.

Your video made me think you might have a tendency to take the weight back over your face a bit when the loads get heavy.
Everyone has to take the bar back towards their face. The finishing point of the bench involves finishing with the bar resting over the glenohumeral joint, where ultimately the bonesn and joints are bearing the load, with minimal muscular input. Touching at any point down the body than this joint will result in bringing the bar back over the joint to finish the movement.

Pushing straight up from the touch position, which is typically, nipple to the bottom of the xiphoid process (if you are benching without a shirt, then it can be a bit lower) would not work for the reasons karky pointed out, even though the proportions of the movement were slightly out.

I use this picture.

one works
one wont

Bench

Buy a longer tshirt, or a pair of pants that go higher.

better positioning of the legs would help, but not a whole heap (insert video of Kara B with her legs straight out)

If you are competiting, pick the style to fit the rules, becuase all that has been said will not work for you depending on the feds rules.

Chucks are not always the best for bench

Get hte bar slightly lower in the palm of your hand

Cant see the width and the weight is not heavy enough to tell, you may, or may not, need a wider grip.

what's wrong with the pants? the fact that I pull them up? It's because the little rope thing or whatever that you're suppose to be able to tie has fallen out of them

the weight is 82.5 kg I think which is 181.5lbs. The short pause at the bottom threw me off a bit since I've never doen that before (I wanted to try it out).

About grip width, I've also heard that the forearms should be perpendicular to the floor to get optimum pushing power, is that correct? It sure makes sence.

Kara B benches straight legged because her Knee is messed up. She also wears a huge knee brace everytime she benches. So she is benching different due to health problems

Ya, she changed for an injury, one of which she recovered from (following surgery), and kept the technique.
