Guys, I want to thank everyone--especially JP--for a great time at the retreat. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. You don't get too many chances in life to work out with a guy like Bill Hartman, and I missed mine.
The weirdest thing about the retreat, for me, is that it wasn't weird. I met more than a dozen guys for the first time, and from the first hour it felt like getting together with a bunch of buddies I'd known for ages.
JP, I can't thank you enough for putting this together. Bill, it was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope we can break bread in Indy when I'm in for the ACSM conference the week after Memorial Day.
And all the guys--it was a great pleasure meeting you and hanging out. John G. and Rob D., you guys have to get up to Emmaus before the statute of Loumitations runs out. Brian R., thanks for the help with the math. Will and JP, sorry I didn't get to hear you guys play those guitars. There's always next year!
Danny and Josh, you guys are going to make great strength coaches.
And Bait, man, I still can't believe you didn't make a move on that cute girl in the striped shirt. If I had looked like you when I was single ... well, I think I would've led the league in paternity suits, for starters.
Jamie, you've got to cheer up! That constant moping ...
Brad, I'm glad we got a chance to chat for a few minutes Saturday morning.
And all the other guys, thanks again for making me feel welcome, and I can't wait to meet and hang out again.
