Fitness Toys for Girls and Boys - What to give/get?
Hi all,
This being the season of giving, I was wondering what fitness related gear you'd like to give and/or get during the holidays. (Something within reason that you'd give to friends for example.)
In books I was thinking of The New Rules of Lifting, The New Rules of Lifting for Women and the TNT diet. Past that I've nary a clue. Any ideas? (I was also thinking gift certificates for a chair massage)
I'm not entirely sure where to put this so mods, if you feel the OffTopic forum is more appropriate please move it.

skipping rope
cardio DVD"s for when I can't get to the gym
gloves for lifting
work out clothes accessories (lululemon kinda stuff)
GC's for suppliments...
Ipod shuffle (about $80)
Water bottle (the kind made from safe plastic that doesn't leach into the water)
Light Cooking recipe book
I'm asking for a wobble board, as I think it would be fun to stand on at night while watching TV. And I could probably do some useful training things with it too.
Another good book is Metabolism Advantage
Massages are always a great gift
Jump Stretch bands
Plyo boxes (Well, I want one anyway!)
wrist wraps
wrist straps
ankle weights
foam rollers or other myofascial release stuff like the stick
box of chalk! (HA! That's really cheap, but hey, you can always use chalk.)
a decent speed jump rope is very inexpensive
an ab wheel
medicine ball
gift card to itunes or other music service
training books Power Training would be a good book for those who are more into sports and athletics. Infinite Intensity and FTC would be a great combination for a friend that's into martial arts.
diet/nutrition books
I can't imagine giving someone a diet book for a present unless I specifically KNEW they wanted one. Yikes!
NROL for Women might be an exception, once it's available. And, to soften the blow for those that are less than fit, I recommend using the "do it yourself, fake celebrity autograph" method of inscription. You know, from the book signing you "attended."
On my list for 2 years now. Every time I bring this up someone tells me a story about how they just paid someone to take old tires away from their work or something. I finally got my first medicine ball for my b'day and its already integrated in.
I like the idea of a good skipping rope, might have to add that one.
Hmm, I have a spare foam roller, I wonder who needs one...
I wouldn't mind some bands, blast straps, and, of course, those excellent John Basedow videos.
