I have a good sized chest built up which I am happy with. Over the years I have pretty much stuck with compound exersizes, and have rarely isolated my triceps. I always figured that they were getting hit enough in bench press. I usually do quite a bit of bench presses (either inclines or flats, no declines) and use a barbell. I'm guessing that I push primarily with my chest on the benches...is this why my chest is so built and my arms are not? I want my arms to get built too, while keeping my chest the same, or continue to steadily roll in slow gains on it. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to increase the size of my triceps? Should I isolate? My primary goal is size. Over the years I have only isolated my tri's for short stints of time. I didn't want my pressing exersizes too suffer so I stopped. My current workout is an HST workout, I'm on the last week of 5 reps then I will switch to a new workout. Either a full-body routine or upper/lower body split is what I prefer (don't really believe in once a week targets). How can I workout my tri's and still keep my pressing exersizes from suffering? Anyone know of any good workouts? Need some advice, thanks.

Try adding in pin presses from about halfway up, board presses if you have them and use a close grip for a while. I also have added some isolation stuff for the triceps to get them up to par and it has done a ton for me. Plus its not to hard on the body so its pretty easy to add in at the end of a workout.

Have you been doing dips in your compound movements? They'll help hammer your tris and no need to give up on bench.

I'll second the suggestion on weighted dips - possibly the best tricep exercise out there.
