Hello, everyone.
I am somewhat new to the exercise bit. I am male, 23, 5'11" and 175lbs and am wanting to get into it to help give me something constructive to do in my spare time and become a little healthier. I would also like to build a little muscle and tone up some. I'm not springing for a gym right now because I want to first prove that I can stick to something simple first.
The easiest way to slip into a routine for me would be to start running daily; I figure I would start off by running a mile or two (gauge my current limits so I don't end out running around with two sore legs) and increase from there. I really don't have any questions here
I have some dumbbells but I'm not sure of any (helpful) exercises to do with them. I'm wanting to work everything.
And this wouldn't be complete if I didn't bring up those exercises from grade school: jumping jacks, push ups, squat thrusts, and sit ups. Do any of these have a place in the mix?
Also, are you supposed to eat before or after exercising?
