I have a mild shoulder impingement. I am currently doing rehab exercises and I have been to the doctor. I'm avoiding bench presses and shoulder presses right now, and I am doing more rows.

For people that have experienced shoulder problems, what exercises did you do?

Thanks.

I hurt the ac lig and in physio they had me do rotator cuff exercises. So they gave me a large rubber band and I tied it to my basment telepost. I do 2x25 pullins, stand 3' away from telepost w/band at waist height and keep elbow to hip and pull the band towards me. Do for both sides then I did the opposite way pulling from middle to outside. Does that make sense?

Same boat, here. I closed my grip on the bench (it was too wide, anyways, probably what caused the bad shoulder) then I went to neutral grip dumbell shoulder presses. On my off days I do rotator cuff exercises with very light weight (nomore that 5 lbs) External rotation, front raise and lateral raise (2lbs) all 3 sets of 10. Plus stretching as much as possible and ice twice a day. It all seems to be working!
