Sorry for the shameless self-promotion here, but I have my weblog up and working, and I've been updating it with several new items each weekday morning.

www.louschuler.com

Please give it a look, let me know what you think, tell your friends, send interesting links ...

Good Lord. I have a horribly disgusting story along those same lines, when I was working at the firehouse, but I can't go there right now, way too early. I'll get back here later and see if I can't post it...

The book was cancelled by the original publisher:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

It had nothing to do with the book, which was shaping up as the best I've written. And Alwyn designed some great workouts. (I mean, really, really great. I hit PRs on virtually everything during the strength phases.)

I can't talk about what happened yet, except to say we're searching for a new publisher.

Damn! It's nice to see how positive you have stayed during your career. I think I would have thorwn an olympic plate at someone by now. Glad to hear the Book is filled with good useful info.

Did the jerk happen to start with Ro and end with Dale? Bastards....

On a side note, I ended my MH subscription yesterday and renewed my MF. I really hope to see MH Muscle take off. It's the last chance Rodale has to prove they care about more than $120 shirts that help me get laid. I really miss the fitness info you provided the mag.

Good Luck and have a good one...

Thanks E! I changed the link.

Newlife, thanks for the vote of confidence. Like I said, I can't say anything now. The only reason I mention the book cancellation is because they posted it on Amazon.

Very nice, Lou. I'm glads to see your not changing your stance on yoga. My guess is that T levels went up (among other things) in all the guys in the back of the class when it was time for downward facing dog position.

Lou, I saw no mention that the book was not happening on Amazon. In fact, it said that it would could be preordered. Check out the text...

"List Price: $24.95
Price: $16.97 & eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25. See details.
You Save: $7.98 (32%)
Availability: This item has not yet been released. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives."

WTF Amazon??? and $16.97 for a hardcover?? How can that be right...

Looks like very good reading!

Newlife, I just asked a former colleague about why the book is suddenly un-cancelled, and she said it's not. Somebody at Amazon changed the listing, for whatever reason, but there's no book coming out until I place it with another publisher.

Maybe I'll palce an order for the book, and then sue for false advertising.

Kidding of course.

yeah, but he gained over 1000lbs and that is just sick. It's hard to feel sorry for someone who abused themselves to the point of near death and then uses Tax money to get help. F-That!

I hope you realize that my comment was a little sarcastic.....It's just sad that things like that happen.

The guy is about 6 feet tall, so average weight is maybe 180.

Where, between 180 and 1,000 does one look at oneself and say, I need help or I need to do something? Believe me, that decision should have come a lot closer to 180 than 1,000. And, of course, the man puts the blame on genetics. May I please see a pic of his parents. He may be the nicest guy on the face of the planet and I wish him well, but it's very hard to feel sympathy for him. My sympathy must go to the health care community who will have to foot the bill and ultimately the consumer, who will get shafted.

And, Lou, great stuff. I can't wait to see your right blog.
