this might be a very differnt post then what you guys normally hear but here goes. I want to lose muscle in my shouulders and back. even my arms are a little to big. I rarly even train back or shoulders directly but they still stand out a lot. i can't seem to lose muscle in that area or just size in general. i'm so lean i can't really offord to lose any more bodyfat i'm 6ft 1 with a 30in weist. which only makes my shoulders and back look even wider.
i dont want to stop training completly because i want to stay muscular but i want to drop a size or two down.

You know, you really shouldn't complain like that. The hordes of males who would love to have your problem will be storming your castle gates with torches and pitchforks!

You can lock yourself inside of a room for 30 days with only water. What kind of goal is that?

How about a focus on total body excercise at high weights with extremely low volume? With reduced intake. Also doing a tough GPP/cardio type activity. Rock Climbing, Wrestling/martial arts, to keep mucscle funtionality and add possibly add to the look you are seeking.

A note, bench press also works on your front shoulders, so what you should do is just some squatting and jogging for 20-30 minutes every couple days. Make sure you keep eating some. Then after you think your shoulders and back are down some muscle (why the hell would you want this?), just start working on your other body parts.

What was your past routine to get you this way anyways?

Is your wallet to small for your 50's and are your diamond shoes too tight?

Take up long distance running.

Ok, you stand on one side of the room , me on the other and we run really really fast into each other. Bam, we both win.

No seriously. Just think back to all the post that you have answered for guys wanting to gain muscle or get bigger and do the opposite. Drop your calories and increase your steady state cardio. I definately have to recommend though that you do not stop lifting. Maybe switch to a higher rep lower weight scheme to keep form completely wasting away. I think you may be surprised at how quickly you can lose muscle even without trying. That is why it is important to be smart about it when your are trying.

Try not eating very much. Why not try a different line of modelling, ie fitness instead of fashion?

VD - coming from personal experience, I second what a few of the guys above said about endurance exercise. I have lost a lot of my muscle mass training for triathlons. I don't have access to a gym currently, but I think getting to the gym a few times a week for maintenance purposes, and a good 3 or 4 days of endurance exercise, and you'll be all set. You know you can't spot reduce with fat or muscle, so you'll lose some mass elsewhere, but if you keep an eye on your nutrition like I know you do, you'll be fine. Good luck with it!!

thanks for the input guys, rook, i have tried eating less and working out lighter and stuff but honestly i havnt seen much of a change in size. i really don't want to lose everything just get smaller in some areas.
thats why i'm asking questions about this because this is not something i've ever tried to do.

lax. i was doing fitness last yr but in NYC i have a very good agency that is marketing me towards their fashion clients and i, myself want to do everything i can on my own.
