Hey guys,
I have never had a high bench press weight. In reality i still dont. My upper body has decent strength, but my bench always sucked. Today, i benched my bodyweight. All 125 pounds of it. It was on the Starr routine and only for 3 reps, but it is progress. In a few weeks i should be able to do that with a lot less trouble for 5-10 reps.
It felt really good to finally hit that number.
Doug

Congrats Dougerino. Always good to reach your goal. Eat like a mofo and just keep adding weight to the bar and you'll be fine

Nice! Always feels good to do something like that. I'm hoping I can bench my own bodyweight 10 times someday. It shouldn't take so long.

Way to go Doug. I know that was a major milestone for me. It's a good feeling. Keep it up!

Great work, Doug. Regardless of bodyweight, hitting that milestone IS worth noting. Since you're lighter, you'll be doing multiples of bodyweight in no time.

Shouldn't be too hard to bench my own weight, I have lost 20 pounds in the last few months. XD
Always good to hear people moving up in the world of athletics, though. Congrats.

So why don't you try to bench your bodyweight. Not as easy as you think. What do you weigh and what is your bench now?
