Mahler’s Monday Morning Motivator # 50

Good morning, guys,
This week will be my final week of Book of Muscle – Advanced. I will be looking for a new program to start after my rest week next week.
The Book of Muscle has been a great experience and kudos to Lou Schuler and Ian King for an excellent trip through muscle-land. Once again, I got in some Snow Shovel Cardio over the weekend. I am seriously looking forward to spring. And, yet I am quite confident that Punxatawney Phil will predict 6 more weeks of winter weather. Talk about initiative. Those folks in Punxatawney, Pa. have parlayed a sleeping rat into a major event.

Now that we are a month away from the New Year, I hope that all of you have held to those resolutions, goals, targets, or whatever you choose to call them. Remember that a target is pretty hard to hit if you lose sight of it. In spite of the sleeping rat, spring is closer than you think and you don’t want to get caught unprepared with your shirt off some day.

For this morning, I thought I would pull out the old quotation file and send a few your way. Enjoy.

"It is amazing how much people can get done if they do not worry about who gets the credit."
- Sandra Swinney

“Leaders aren't born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that's the price we'll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal."
- Vince Lombardi

“Not knowing it all is no excuse not to start."
- Judy Columbus

"The greatest motivational act one person can do for another is to listen."
- Roy E. Moody

“The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjusts the sails."
- John Maxwell

"The man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd."
- James Crook

"The worst bankruptcy in the world is the person who has lost his enthusiasm."
- H. W. Arnold

"A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm."
- Charles Schwab

"Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries."
- James A. Mitchner

"One of the secrets of life is to make stepping stones out of stumbling blocks."
- Jack Penn

If winter is upon us, can spring be far behind?
Have a great week.

Mid-week bump.
This one's going nowhere.
