Default Working out from home

I recently purchased scrawny to brawny and so far have learned alot but i was wondering is there anyway to alter some of the exercises in S2B so you can train from home? Like the traplift, could you maybe do that with dumbells etc? I live to far from the gym and know that the sheer distance will stop me from going. So i have some cash to get some weights etc but dont know what to get. I already have a chinup bar so I figure ill get some dumbells but beyond that im clueless. Any advice cos i really wanna start this program?

you can check out ironmaster.com or powerblock.com, adjustable dumbbells, kinda pricey, but a great investment that will last for many years. I have the ironmasters which go up to 120 pds. You can also check out the classifieds to find some dumbbells or maybe an olympic bench/weight set for less money.

Anything done with bars can be done with dumbells and vice vera. If you have some space to train (ie backyard or farm or something) maybe do a search for Zach Even-esh's stuff on the net and pick yourself up an old tractor tyre and start training like that.

You can do anything(almost), with some adjustable dumbbells, an Olympic barbell, some plates and a bench. Get a power rack too if you're willing to spend the money(next on my list).

I started by buying an Oly weight set and a pair of Oly dumbbell handles. My wife found me a cheap bench, and I built myself a squat rack and cable station. The plans are posted in this thread: Anyone Interested in Homemade Equipment?

These days I'd check Craigslist for weights and benches, and even a power rack. You'd be surprised at what people sell this stuff for. I just saw a power rack and 400# of weights listed for $200, and I bet the guy would negotiate that!
