I was wondering, squat and deads are probably the best exercises. they train a lot of muscles. And when doing heavy compound lifts, your body releases growth hormones right?(could be afterwards too) So should one do as many lower body work as upper work?

I thought the answer was yes
but when I look at a lot of of 4day split routines like OVT or Max-OT(5 day), the lower body only has 1 day while the upper body gets 3. that's not fair, now is it

Are Deads, Lunges, and Squats for a lower body workout?

That's the most stress I can put on my legs because I valet cars as my second job and that requires a lot of short intreval sprints.

thanks,
Stinson

one of the reasons I don't like body part splits... however....

routines like Max-OT and OVT DO give upper and lower body the same amount of work, they just break up differently than I personally like. A lot of people have had great success on routines like those.

I tried to be a badass and work with sore legs but it was not worth it. It sucks to use your legs for prolonged periods with them being sore. I don't mind if they're a little sore but I can't deal with anything too extreme. Plus, I imagine it's bad for my legs.

That leads me to my next question.

I'm standing for 10 hours and I have to run really hard (drive, sprint, and repeat) for about 4 of those hours. Is it bad for my muscles to run (repeated short sprints) while they are sore?

Thanks again,
Stinson
