Default Snatch dead vs conventional on platform

So, deadlift progress has kinda stopped now, and i was thinking maybe to replace my deadlifts with something that has a bit more focus on the bottom part of the movement, since thats my weak spot. Both snatch and off platform works the bottom part, yes? since you have to get lower.. Though, wouldnt it be better to do conventional off a platform with the bar off the platform and my feet on it, since i then will be using the same grip as i do on conventional? With snatch grip the upper back can become a limiting factor too, right?

So, for improving bottom part of the deadlift, snatch grip dl or dl off a platform?

for the deads ive been doing 3x3, going heavy. Should i do the same off the platform, or should i for some reason do a bit higher reps? Im going for strenght here.

you could also do sumo deadlifts.

Also, do you let the bar rest a couple of seconds after each rep? Completly losing the tension on your body?
If you don't, this might be a good way to get stronger in the bottom portion of the lift.

I'm doing those 2 above and my weak point has moved to lockout, so it might be worth a shot.

I've actually had better results from snatch grip deads done as speed work, than deficit deads. I think that you results from either one could vary depending on why you are weak off the floor.

I dont know how you guys do snatch grip deads. I would loose my ability to procreate if I did them. Damn short arms.

Dont leave out good mornings, ghrs and box squats. I really like GHRs for helping off the ground in a deadlift.. I pull with high hips so this may make a difference.

I loose tension in the body and have the weight dead on the floor between reps. No touch and go here.

Try them both out, but I found that deficit deads didn't do crap for me off the floor because the starting position mechanics are different. I got to a point where my deficit deads were almost as I could pull from the floor, and my pulls from the floor went nowhere, not what I wanted. I think snatch grip would be the better way, but again, everyone is different, try everything (not at once). Frank has a good point as well, make sure you pick your assistance exercises wisely, attack your weaknesses.

Bump

I tried snatch grip deads today, im gonna try them both, see what i like.
My femurs are really long, and when i got down to set up, i noticed my back was almost horizontal parallell to the floor. So i dropped my hips a bit and my knees really shot out in front of the bar, it actually looked a bit stupid when i looked from the side in the mirror. When i pulled up my knees dident really get out of the way from the bar as they should and it got a bit ackward.
