Who's down to try Polquin's Super Accumulation workout?
I started a similar thread over at MH, and figured I'd throw the challenge up here as well. I read Polquins article on T-Nation this morning, and while not a fan of premade routines, this one looks interesting.
He lost me @ "workout until depression occurs, then back off slightly..."
If I was an athlete and working out was my life or my livelihood depended on it, that would be one thing, but it's not. I take exercise and nutrition pretty seriously, but IMO, this isn't a good thing for one's well-being.

Damn, that looks painful! Maybe I'll do it at the end of the summer, when I have an interrupted 2/3 weeks.

Poliquin has some truly strange ideas about a whole lot of things.
He says to:
Quote:
Take at least 40 grams of BCAA during each workout. Yes, I said 40.
I'm just curious, what kind of reputation does he have in strength training/fitness circles? Do most people regard him as a genius or do they think that he's nuts?

It's usually one or the other.

It works. Don't do though as the risks are not for those with bad joints....as for the nutrition protocols people follow them and look impressive and perform very well.
Not necessarily...nutty people who think outside the box are generally pretty sharp intellectually.

I don't understand? I was saying most people either really like him or really don't.

Im going to Olympic camp next week. Last year we did 17 workouts at 80%+ in 7 days. That shit hurt, badly. Gains were awesome though.
Im going again next week
