Just a little primer... Bill arrived safely today, and we have been goofing around the gym, talking training, worked out (Ouch!), and now we are at my house getting ready to chow down on some steaks (thinking of Dos now--mm, dead animal flesh ).

More updates coming! I can tell already that we are going to have a fantastic weekend.

Bill,

I going to miss busting your chops this weekend Bill . I feel fine but, my doctor just wants to make sure. So I am going to see a heart sepcialist tommorow morning. The cat scan I took on tuesday showed negative signs of cancer so thats good news but, it did show a build up of fluids in my body.

Silas, best wishes that everything does turn out OK. I know you were excited to go, but we'll both have to catch the next one and show them how it's really done.

Bill- I did have a few questions though for you. That I was hopeing you can answer for me. I am training a figure skater and I am trying to get her weight down. She is more muscular then fat. Bf % is around 16%-20%. Its just that she needs to get drop 20lbs in order do make it into a Ice show. It has nothing to do with her preformance. She can hit all the jumps thats required just, that she needs to make weight. What would be the best approach for this? I was thinking on the lines of spliting H.I.T.T. on 2x a week 3x a week steady state cardio for 45 on a 6-7 incline w/5-6 incline grade. And as far as weighttraining. Bare mininal?( to much muscle already). Focus more on speed work then strength and power?

What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Hope your enjoying the southern hospitalities.

Kasier, definatly we'll catch the next one and show them how its really do .

WOW! What a day. Most of the guys are here and we are having a BLAST! Bill in person is simply amazing. Lou as well. Between the two of them I have learned more about fitness in a few hours than I did in the last year!

More updates coming. Stay tuned!

Needless to say, those of you who are missing out are REALLY missing out!

Brian, good to hear from you. I will be talking to you soon about flying you to AR for doing some educational presentations to school districts who are trying to get into compliance with the PE bill our council wrote that got passed into law about three years ago. My budget is about to renew, and I want you in it!

It is so great to see the original crew here. Unfortunately "Menshealthguy" had a last minute hitch and was not able to attend, and Silas had some medical problems that prevented him from coming. Don't worry guys, I am going to get the whole day on video.

Got to get to bed so I can be well rested for tomorrow.

Does your revamped site include getting the retreat webcast JP?

That seems like the logical step for all of us who couldn't be there. Of course we'd still miss the various odors being produced, but maybe someday the technology will be there

y'all have some fun

Bad news... the video taping did not occur due to technical difficulties, which is really really sad, because there is no way any of us can put into words what we witnessed. Needless to say, I think the entire group experienced a paradigm shift.
