Kudos to Danny King and his sister! The family and I were able to see them compete yesterday and they rock! Just to have the skills to get up there and lift those weights/items, is awesome!
We didn't stick around to see how they finished and didn't get there early enough to get a program, so I have no idea on weight classes, etc. But in my book, competing hard is more important than winning any day.
No pictures -- you should see his socks though

-- maybe someone else was there as well.
The kids thought it was pretty fun to kind of know of someone out there. They love watching the ESPN Met-RX shows (usually from China) but are already talking about getting back to this one next year.
One woman (who I assume at least won the deadlift competition) was just incredible. I believe it was 30 reps at 250# with the triangle bar. The men were good too, but it's less common to see women who rock!
