Default Anger Issues.

Had two horrible back to back days at work, guess JBs get shredded diet also had my easily angered today. Got to the gym to releave some stress and had the craziest day. Hit a PR today that I just have to share, mainly because I dont think anyone I know aside from this board would care or even realize what a feat it was. My old 3 rep Dead PR was 425 which is crushed in reps a week back. Today I hit 475 for 3 reps raw(just some chalk) and I lost another lb. Down to 179. Dont like to boast but I had to share!

Damn, Steve. That is amazing. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the great work. (Mahler to self: I need to start heavy deads again.)

Nice lift! At 179, that is very impressive, in my opinion.

Way to put that anger to good use Steve! I know how you feel when you get all worked up over crap that just seems to pile up out of nowhere. I've hit most of my own PRs when I was lifting because I was angry. Controlled agression.

Great work, Steve. Congratulations on the PR!

No wonder I never lift heavy. I'm just too mellow.

Congrats on the new PR Steve, just remember anger can be great for setting new PRs, but it can get ugly if you see someone curling in the squat rack and decid to "teach him a lesson" .

"You keep carrying around that anger...it'll eat you up inside."

Nice job on the PR. I had similar temperment issues when doing the GSD as well. Try and keep it in check. It helps if you're aware of it. Most likely it's the low calories...not necessarily the low carb (my experience).

Good luck.

Nice PR's. I wish anger made me lift more.. I set PR's more often then not when I'm calm and focused. I'm probally one of the few who listens to 'easy listening' while working out 80% of the time

Next time you do a 1rm deadlift you are going to shatter old prs.
