Default Get Muscles & Get Girls!

This is a great example of what these 'workout programs' people buy into and "think" they are the end all/be all of their training regimine. This ad claims to get you muscles and get you laid. Its the same style marketing many legit fitness products use by trainers that have -1 year experience (yes, that minus) training others or themselves adequately.

http://www.muscleyjerk.com/

This is the kinda crap my products and the products of others go up against in the internet marketplace.

This is the result of marketing guru's that make trainers think they have an original idea that they can profit from before they actually better themsleves in the field.

Good grief. Are you at least profiting from the click-hits this thing generates?

I guess people who 'workout' for girls are the only ones stupid to fall for something for like that, so I guess it's smart marketing anyway.

I suppose the next thing your going to tell me is that I can't have Cover Model Ab's in only 6 minutes a day. While still eating all of my favorite foods.

Sure, you can get girls with big muscles. Wouldn't you rather know what you're doing, developing your muscles AND your brains, so you could "get" women?

People like this are laughable farces...I know it galls you that they're making money and giving you a bad name, but honestly: would you really want the people who respond to this kind of crap for clients?

John,

I don't know if I'd even look at it that way. It might not be the best parallel, but I tell people flat-out that I don't look at Velocity SP or any of the other cookie-cutter gym chains as competition with respect to our in-person training stuff. We're not trying to be better, as you can't improve on a model that's inherently flawed; we're trying to be different.

I think you're on a different level.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the laugh!

That so reminds me of an ad I saw in a comic book when I was a kid. Something about a scrawny guy who got sand kicked in his face and his girl stolen by some big guy while at the beach. He then did the Charles Atlas thing and kicked the guy's ass!

Here you go:

In this day in age...in this field...being better is being different.

The model is flawed because no one tries to fix it...most people in this business are cookie cutter. The only thing that seperates a good trainer from a great trainer is skill level. However, the flaws in this industry are taken advatage of everyday and those smart enough to manipulate these flaws make the most money.

Also...wouldn't something inherently flawed be easier to fix?
