Okay, I just joined my highschool football team its offseason and I lift weights after school. Monday/thursday lower body Tuesday/friday upper body. Okay, now we are on 8 week cycles every 8 weeks we find our max so that our %'s will go up.. I think you understand what I mean EX: if 100lbs was our max theyd make us rep 60% of our max (60lbs)..

Anyway, right after I lift weights (45-60 minute lifting sessions) I go play football or basketball with my friends for about 3-4 hours.. Now is this good? Cause I wanna gain about 10-20lbs of muscle by next september.. Over the summer all my running around and playing games with my friends will probably decrease because I won't be in the same town... Anway, is it okay to lift and then go run around that much?

Also, should I drink protien shakes after every workout ? I really need to gain some muscle. I weigh 150lbs and i'm 5'8 is it okay to be like 5'8 175 lbs with like no fat? I don't know I have probably lost you guys but if you understand just tell me what is healthy or not.

I know this forum isn't for me to just come and ask questions but I don't know who to ask..
