Default How long do you take on ME days?

I took about 50 minutes today of my ME squat/deadlift exercise alone. Is this a little too long?

I take the longest when I start doing my singles. I start from the bar alone and increase about 20lbs increments until I get to the last triple where I start increasing by 10lbs till I max out on the singles. My current max is around 220-240lbs so the weight selection shouldnt be the issue right?

It's a bit long but not unusual. I know a lot of guys who take an hour to complete their ME exercise.
Last time I maxed out on my bench , it took over 2hours. That was with a bench shirt though.

I take about 30-40 minutes for SQ/DL. 20-30 minutes for bench.

Same as Jason.
An entire session can take me anywhere from 90-120 minutes, depending on a few things. I'm working on that now though, I'm trying to bring it down to 60min tops.

Part of the reason I take so long is because I take sips of my gatorade/protein drink between sets, and I have to let it settle before I start the next set or else bad things will happen. I've stopped drinking that during my workouts (starting today) and only have water between sets. HUGE difference, and my lifts didn't suffer as much as I thought they would.

I maxed on bench a couple weeks back before starting S1. I took maybe 30 minutes.
Started with the bar then 135, 185, 225, 250, 275 (max).

I increase by weight plates, not by special increments and I rest until I feel I am ready to take on the next level. Never rested more than 3 minutes though. Except on the last one when I had to wait on my spotter to be ready.

You don't need to go by 20# increments the whole way I usualy take bigger jumps until I'm at 70-80%1rm then work up slower, also you don't really need to rest that long until you get up in weight as well, ME for me takes 15-25 minutes.

My reasoning for the 20# jumps is that 20# is about 10% of my estimated max, and since my max isn't really high, I thought I might also need the volume. Is this reasoning right?

I'll probably cut the amount of rest down some

You don't really need the 10% jumps right from the bar though for example last week I worked up to 245 like this
45-10
135-5
155-5
185-3
205-1
225-1
245-1

If I had wanted to add a little more volume I probably would've added a 235-1 and then done another single at 255 or a pr attempt at 265.
