I'll only wear a pink shirt if it's a half shirt. If I'm going queer it's all the way, none of this "confused" bullshit.

I think the issue isn't so much what he said but possibly the audience it was said to. Dave Tate writes for big boy powerlifters. If he said that then yeah...gotcha. In hind site T-Nation is probably more hardcore manly, man than I had gave it credit for. I'll go on record as being "wrong". Someone write that down.

For the record, bodybuilding started out as sideshow entertainment in carnivals. So did stong man. These were exhibitions and not competitions. For us today, it doesn't really matter where you channel your endeavors. Some will seek the excitement and challenge of competition. It's in their nature. Others will be content with personal goals and experiences, with that inner competitor. Many will be a little bit of both. The important thing, to my way of thinking, is that neither competitor nor aficionado are denying their journeys. We are all of a single mind here that fitness is a way of life. Let's build on that.
