Default Cable seated row and lat pulldown substitutes

Im going to start NROL Hypertrophy 1, but i dont have a cable machine and cant do Wide-grip lat pull downs or Cable seated rows.

Would doing wide-grip pullups (weighted) and bent over rows be a good alternative?

You can also do reverse pushups too with varying grips, elevated feet, etc.

Check Dave Schmitz rubber bands. They can fill gaps in what ever equipment you have. He was a speaker at the summit. Did a hands on workshop, lots of fun, very instructive. He also sells them, very good price. Rob

The row station at my gym has limited my ability. I can pull the stack, 255, for all my stated reps and then some. I am switching to Pull ups as a substitute this week as I feel I am weak in them ayway.

They are not only good substitutions but also superior alternatives, in my opinion.

Any kind of chin-up or pull-up (alternate grips) and free rows are the way to go when when training your back. Some chest-supported row machines also make the trick if, for any reason, free rows are not safe for you (lower back issues, grip strength... whatever).
