Default Anyone else sick or feel like death warmed over?

Damn, I hate getting sick. I felt a little tired when I woke up on Friday morning, and would have stayed home, but I had a protocol that I had to execute that morning. After it was over, I felt particularly crappy fever, achey - but no stomach or sinus issues) and headed home. By the time I got to the doctor's office, I had a 102-103F fever and was about as weak as can be.

She said it's most likely a viral infection and antibiotics wouldn't really do much. She prescribed 800mg of Advil every 8 hours and 2 extra strength Tylenol in between to help with the achiness.

I felt a lot better this morning, so I took my son to indoor soccer and ran some errands. About 2:30 this afternoon, I was shivering something firece. Back to the Advil, Tylenol and Gatorade.

Just seeing if anyone else is feeling miserable and wanted to share in the misery.

Cheers all,
S.

Just getting over a solid week of crapfullness, very similar symptoms although I also had a throat that felt like it had been worked over with sandpaper. Missed a day of work (something I never do- not out of dedication or great constitution I just like to hoard my 3 sick days/year), and for the rest of the week slept when I wasn't working. And of course missed a week of workouts. Which is what ticked me off the most.

Feel better dude. I'll make you some chicken soup but you'll have to come here to pick it up.

I have actually been sick for the last 2 weeks--congested, sore throat, nasal congestion, and cold. Hits me all at once. I don't get sick alot throughout the year, maybe 1 or 2 times, but when I do, it kicks my ass.
