That was just what I needed, but why are you such a shill for the supplement companies? Who do you think you are, anyway? I don't wear headphones when I lift, so you shouldn't say that that's what everyone needs to do, you're not even 220 pounds.

I think this is a joke post but I will tackle it anyways.
I didn't name any supplement companies. I stuck with what I know works.
Again, I was just mentioning the benifits of listening to music when lifting. Keeps people from talking to their buddies, and they stay focused on the lifting.

I was once 205 lbs, mostly fat though.
Yeah, I mean, consider the source, always there with a wry joke, a slight smirk, and a wink .
I thought your choices for supplements were right on the money, perfect as is.
I lift at home and prefer silence, but your point is obvious and well taken.
And I am 205 lbs, though I have no idea what my bodyfat level is. (when standing relaxed I can faintly see an 8-pack and intercostals, with clear obliques and "crotch lines", so maybe 11-ish percent?)
I just wanted to point out (from someone who notices odd things here and there) that the title of your page (the title tag, that shows on the browser window as title) is spelled wrong. You have "shoould know."
I liked the article.
Though I would like to mention that from what I understand, Nike frees are only meant to be used in a running/walking movement, no lateral movement, and I guess for only short periods of time. Mine fell apart when I used them to lift in... they don't have the structure for it. It's not that there's something wrong with using them, just that they're not made for it so they won't last terribly long. Just as an fyi.
I'm sure the people at my gym think I'm a nut case because if I get to where I'm setting up camp and I hear something inane playing, I laugh. Not chuckle, chortle, or snicker. Laugh

I was just lazy on getting started, so I downloaded them all yesterday and have to start from the beginning, but I'm looking forward to making time for it

Mine have been excellent for lifting, lots of wide stance stuff too. Weird..

I hope we don't put you to sleep when you are lifting. You should most likely just listen to the shows with guests to save time. Otherwise it is John and I babbling.

Yeah. Spankdat is right. I thought I put a smiley in there, though. Oops.
I could really do with serious emoticons (like this one ), to indicate when I am being serious. When in doubt, simply ignore my posts.
I actually like all your supps. I don't wear my mp3 to lift very often because the stupid cables get in the way. Plus, I don't have any Paris Hilton on my player. Besides, one cannot listen to all Mandy Moore, all the time, can one?
But you didn't answer! Who do you think you are?!?!

haha nah, sometimes im just in the mood for talk over music.
but i do get some weird looks sometimes when something funny is said on the show and i laugh..because people assume im just listening to music.

My Exercise Physiology teacher told us today that there was a study done recently on 14(?) people who took 21g of creatine a day for 15(?) days, and it had some negative side effects. I'll email him now and ask for the link to the study because I would like to actually back up this next statement, but it was recommended you take 5g a day, 10 max.
There was another study on people who took >20g/day for I think four months, and one guy had blood pooling in his leg or something like that. I'll get the studies.

Let's see, I'm betting it's headaches, stomach cramps, muscle cramps, vomiting, dizziness, etc. All signs of dehydration, i.e. people who are too ignorant to realize you need to at least double your water intake when you start creatine. There are no side effects to creatine if you take it properly.

I agree, the babbling is entertaining, and the exact same thing happens to me...i have this grin on my face and people just look at me like i'm wierd...thankfully nothing funny has happened while i've been squatting...here's to hoping that it wont happen anytime soon

I can't remember what it was, but the last one with just Kevin and John had me cracking up. It's like hanging out with your friends. You laugh a lot, but who remembers why?

Let's wait until I get the study and can post it.
I don't think it was any of those things, but my memory has failed me before. We'll see. Be patient.

I don't do it for extended periods of time, usually 1 month.
With the blood pooling into the leg, that was obviously an isolated incitent, not very common. But I agree that most people need 10g max. But why not see what your body does with a little bit more?.
