Default do the trainers at your gym have "phases"?

The trainers at my gym have had different phases it seems..
Ok. When i started, it was the machine phase, everyone were put to do machine stuff. Then it was the weird squat phase, where everyone were put to do weird quarter squats (i say weird, because they werent just quarter squats, they were weird quarter squats!). Then it was the swiss ball phase, yes, everything done on a swiss ball. Now its the external rotation phase.

so, have anyone else noticed something simular?

Doesn't everyone go thru phases? Its part of the learning process...we all go thru it. Once upon a time it was NROL everyone was trying...than it was EDT training...then it was Waterbury's...etc, etc.

Part of the learning process is finding out what works for you--and it goes double for trainers becuase they experiement to see how a client reacts and likens an exercise. That procedure it easier when it is yourself, but when you are finding what execise program works best with someone else--its takes some trial and error.

Trainers at my gym have been on the machine phase for sometime now...I am thinking of giving a gift pack or something so they can have some new material.

Your in denial.. a phase that lasts for a long time is usually not a phase :p
Its like your a parent looking at your kid doing something weird, and you say "ahh, its probobly just a phase"
Sorry to be the one who had to break the harsh news to you

I guess it is time to send them off to the free weight camp. They will watch slides of squats and deadlifts, and for the first time feel the cold touch of an adjustable dumbbell.
